Evening Times Roll of Honour complete

During the First World War, the Evening Times newspaper printed short biographies of 
service personnel from Glasgow and surrounding areas, who were reported missing, 
wounded or killed, often as an appeal from their families for further information. 
Entries usually include regiment, address, family names, occupation and often a photograph.
This photograph may be the only one that exists of the person at that time.  

For ten years, the staff at the Mitchell Library have been using our Evening Times collection to 
populate a  list of entries for the whole period,which is now available in full on the
