Help us preserve WW1 memories!

Do you have any items relating to the First World War? Would you like to share and preserve them for future generations?

Glasgow City Archives is hosting a digital collection day, as part of a nationwide campaign to preserve memories of the First World War.

Bring along your diaries, letters, photographs, objects or stories about your family’s experience in the war where they will be recorded and preserved as part of a freely-available, online collection.

Volunteers and experts will be on hand to record your memories and shed light on your objects and family stories.

Location: Mitchell Library (Ground Floor, Moir-Dyer Room)
Date: Wednesday 10 April 2019
Time: 12noon - 6pm (pop-in, no appointment necessary)

The Lest We Forget project is a collaboration between the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and the University of Oxford, and is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund. The team will be staging events across the UK, encouraging people to bring in their family heirlooms and preserve them for future generations.
